David H. Shaw II is the Managing Partner of the St. Petersburg office. Mr. Shaw concentrates his practice in first-party insurance coverage and extra-contractual, bad-faith claims. Mr. Shaw focuses on investigating and litigating a diverse array of first party property claims, including arson, fraud, theft, sinkhole, mold, water damage, windstorm and business interruption claims. He handles cases throughout the state of Florida for numerous insurers.

Mr. Shaw received his Juris Doctor cum laude from Stetson University College of Law, St. Petersburg, FL in 2001. As part of a dual degree program, he was awarded a Masters in Business Administration. Mr. Shaw earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida in 1988 with a major in management. During law school, he received the William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award and served as a law clerk in the U.S. Attorney's Office, Civil Division, Middle District of Florida.

A member of the Florida Bar since 2002, Mr. Shaw is also admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the United States District Court for both the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida.

Mr. Shaw is a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) and the Defense Research Institute (DRI).
